A workshop titled
Advancing Seismic Hazard Assessment: Integrating geological and seismological observations into physics-based rupture simulations
will be held in Saudi Arabia, November 26-28, 2018.
Key lectures on:
- the promises and challenges of earthquake geology field observations for Seismic Hazard Assessment (SHA)
- the dynamic and multi-cycle earthquake rupture simulation for estimating complex-geometry rupture probabilities
- the inclusion of physics-based simulations into hazard calculation
will be given by an international team of experts. See for further details

About 40 participants are allowed. Deadline for submitting a registration form is August 30th; acceptance will be communicated on Sept, 20th.
This event is organised by the Computational Earthquake Seismology (CES) group at KAUST (https://ces.kaust.edu.sa) and the Fault2SHA Working Group of the European Seismological Commission, with financial support from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Office of Sponsored Research (OSR).
