We are ready for the 6th Workshop of the Fault2SHA ESC Working Group. It will be held in Chieti on January 19-20, 2023. It is the first in-person meeting after years; it follows the kickoff meeting of the new Horizon Europe MSCA-DN project TREAD, leaded by the University of Chieti-Pescara. TREAD will open 11 phD positions in Europe soon.
About 45 experienced and early career researchers are expected; key-note lectures will be recorded for the community. Enjoy the PRE-WORKSHOP PROCEEDINGS, and the mountains’ view!
The Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia announced the launch of the workshop “Hands on fault-based PSHA: data and approaches to build models”. The workshop will take place in Pisa (Italy) at Officine Garibaldihttps://officinegaribaldi.it/wp/, from 27 to 30 September 2021. The objective of the workshop is to provide Researchers and PhD Students with a common understanding of fault-based probabilistic seismic hazard models. The concepts of fault and multi-fault ruptures models will be the key topics and the workshop will be arranged in talks and interactive hands-on sessions. WHY to PARTICIPATE
EXCELLENT LECTURES focused on fault modeling for seismic hazard assessment: top-level experts from our Fault2SHA working group have confirmed their participation.
HANDS-ON SESSIONS to guide participants in the building of fault-based models and throwing the entire fault-to-PSHA chain.
REGISTRATION & DEADLINE
Sending an email to faultpsha@ingv.it by 15 July 2021 with a brief description (in English) of: (1) your main interests and scientific background and (2) motivations to participate. The facility and the format of the workshop limit the number of participants to about 25 persons.
